Come join us on Tuesday, July 23rd 2013, for an evening of socialization and more importantly take advantage of a great opportunity to meet with Dan Pitt (Executive Director of ONF) and participate in an interactive session, where Dan talks about ….
“ONF on SDN: technology, world view, work plan”
As interest in SDN has exploded over the last few years, so have its interpretations. In this talk, Dan will return to the roots of the revolution to understand its origins and motivations and how they continue to motivate ONF’s leadership of the movement. He will share the overall concept of SDN that ONF holds, the role and function of the OpenFlow protocol, how we are organized, our current work plan (working group by working group), and how we relate to other .orgs such as OpenCompute, OpenStack, OpenDaylight, and ETSI NFV.
Dont miss out on this opportunity.
Our space is limited and we only accomodate 85. So please reserve your spot early but also only do so if you truly can make it. We want to give everyone that want to attend an opportunity to do so.
I would like to thank Joe and Johan for helping us host the venue at Stanford and Scott Hankins from Pertino for sponsoring the food and drinks.
For those whom are not aware of Pertino ..
Pertino is a cloud networking company that is bringing to life a radical vision for the future of business networks. One where anyone can build a secure network in minutes that connects people to the IT resources they need from anywhere on the planet. No hardware, upfront investment or expertise required. Pertino is reinventing networking for the cloud era by fusing the power and pervasiveness of the cloud with Software-Defined Networking (SDN), network virtualization, and social-inspired user management.
As always, please spread the word of our group to others in your circle that are in or might be interested in SDN.
On a last note, if you are one of the extroverts, please do what you do best and make sure you engage all our members in interacting with others. We leave no woman/man behind ☺
