HPE/Intel Open NFV Ecosystem Webinar featuring GENBAND: Geo-Distributed & Elastic VNF Deployment Across Different Virtualization Environments
As Service Providers deploy innovative services using NFV and SDN technologies and do so with agility, operational effectiveness and for new revenue generation, it is imperative that they are able to deploy the Virtual Network Functions (VNFs) for the services in an automated manner across geographies and data center sites running different virtualization environments, and then have the VNFs operating with full dynamic elasticity that scale with traffic, utilize data center resources optimally and provide low latency.
These geo distribution, automation and dynamic elasticity characteristics for VNFs are key to gain the full business advantage of these underlying technologies.
In the next HPE/Intel Open NFV Ecosystem webinar on October 26th, GENBAND presenters will demonstrate some of their high performance VNFs such as the GENBAND Session Border Controller and Advanced Media Software (AMS) utilized for multiple applications such as VoLTE MRF, VoLTE Interconnects, vIMS, IP eXchange (IPX) and SIP Trunking. They will demonstrate the deployment of these VNFs across different geo sites and virtualization environments using the GENBAND VNF Manager that is agnostic to different ecosystem orchestration and virtualization environments, and demonstrate the elastic and dynamic scaling of these VNFs with traffic.
The distributed GENBAND Session Border Controller consists of a separate Advanced Control Software (ACS) VNF and Advanced Media Software (AMS) VNF with the ability to geo distribute the signaling/control and media VNFs for the independent scalability of signaling and media resources, the sharing and pooling of media processing and transcoding, improved geo-resiliency, the support of hybrid virtual and physical deployments and optimized media routing.
GENBAND will demonstrate the ACS VNF and their market leading AMS VNF that dynamically scales media transcoding resources with traffic and with high performance that is at parity or better than hardware based approaches. The operation of the different VNFs across different ecosystem partner environments with an open and agnostic approach will also be highlighted.
Join HPE, Intel, and GENBAND on October 26th for the next Open NFV Ecosystem webinar to learn how to deploy geo-distributed & elastic VNFs across different virtualization environments.
