Open Networking Laboratory is a non-profit foundation that develops open source SDN tools and platforms such as Mininet and Flowvisor. For the past year, ON Lab has been developing new tools with a focus on wide area network applications of SDN. Open Network Operating System (ONOS) is an open-source distributed SDN operating system; and SDN-IP enables seamless peering between SDN and IP networks. ONOS and SDN-IP launched in April, they won the Internet2 Innovation Award and are starting trials at R&E networks.
Umesh will be sharing his experiences building ONOS and SDN-IP.
Umesh Krishnaswamy is Director of Engineering at Open Networking Laboratory and leads the development of the Open Network Operating System (ONOS), an open-source distributed operating system for SDN.
