Bridging Networking with IT
SDN, NFV, Cloud/Edge Computing can be seen as different expressions of an overall transformation trend, potentially disrupting the telecom and IT industries. This trend is also transforming several other Industries using “softwarization” to optimize costs and processes and in bringing new values in infrastructures. In particular, SDN and NFV are creating the conditions to reinvent network and cloud architectures, accelerate service deployment and facilitate infrastructure management. In fact, most (if not all) network and service functions could be virtualized and dynamically allocated onto an underneath physical infrastructure, fully decoupled. Also this is going to move the competition from CAPEX-based models to OPEX-based ones, potentially changing business roles and relevant business models.
Accordingly, the theme of NetSoft 2015 is “Software-Defined Infrastructures (SDI) for Networks, Clouds and Services.”
Anchored by in-depth workshops including 5G mobility and security, tutorials and demonstrations, NetSoft 2015 will focus on advanced topics and provide an international forum for scientists and engineers to discuss and exchange experiences, new ideas, and research results. Held at one of the best university in the world, NetSoft2015 is a must attend event for those seeking to explore the technical future of SDN.
NetSoft 2015 is the Flagship Conference of a global IEEE SDN initiative a cross-Society IEEE worldwide program addressing the main techno-economic aspects concerning SDN and NFV. With approximately 50 volunteers, IEEE SDN are building a very large technical community, counting today more than 1400 experts worldwide.
