Rochan Sankar serves as Director of Product Management and Marketing for Broadcom Corporation’s Infrastructure and Networking Group (ING), focused on data center switching technologies. Sankar has 15 years of experience defining, managing, and bringing to market leading-edge semiconductor products for the networking and communications industries, most recently Broadcom’s StrataXGS Trident-II. Prior to Broadcom, Sankar has held senior positions in chip architecture, strategic marketing, and business development at broad-line and startup semiconductor firms. Sankar earned a Bachelor’s of Applied Science and Engineering from the University of Toronto and an MBA from The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania, and holds 5 U.S. patents in the area of high-performance chip architectures.
