Learn how the Internet of Things (IoT) is taking a huge leap forward with the ability to manage all gateways and networks.
I am passionate about how a disruptive thought process (e.g. “Black Swan”), a unified view of history (e.g. “Guns, Germs, and Steel”), or a new technology can entirely change how people interpret and interact with their world. I believe that technology will save lives every day and will make everyday lives better. I’m honored to have been part of many disruptive technologies and approaches – the very latest being with Software Defined Networking. I’m excited by SDN’s promise to transform networking from a “put in the form, wait two weeks, …” to a “the network flexes with demand automatically and flexibly” way of business. And, as the network becomes responsive, it will enable a positive reach into our everyday lives – to be explored in my blog. Past marketing and alliance work with disruptive technologies include Infoblox (networking and security – IPO 2012), Nexenta (software defined storage – private), Cisco’s Storage Networking business unit (set the record for time to achieve over $1 B in revenues), and Ejasent (early Cloud pioneer – acquired by Veritas / Symantec). Education includes an MBA from Santa Clara University and an Engineering degree from Stanford.
