Like many of you, the SDxCentral team is busy preparing our annual sojourn to Barcelona for Mobile World Congress 2017, the telecom industry’s annual confab. And this year we’ll be there in full force.
I’ll be attending Mobile World Congress along my colleagues Craig Matsumoto (craig@sdxcentral.com) and Linda Hardesty (lhardesty@sdxcentral.com). We’ll be delivering a steady stream of coverage from the conference. That coverage will include the latest announcements, one-on-one interviews, and behind-the-scenes scoops from the show floor.
In case you haven’t noticed, SDxCentral increased its editorial team over the past year. I joined the company in March, and we added Wyatt Carlson (wcarlson@sdxcentral.com), associate editor, in June.
Not only has our editorial team grown, but we have also expanded our coverage areas beyond software-defined networking (SDN), network functions virtualization (NFV), and security to include 5G and the Internet of Things (IoT). Plus, you will also see more in-depth coverage in areas of growing interest to our readers like containers, software-defined wide area networking (SD-WAN), machine learning, and artificial intelligence.
We grew significantly in 2016, more than doubling our monthly audience and newsletter subscribers. Our readers consist of a mix of technology influencers and decision makers at the leading enterprises and service providers. And we have a global presence; 50 percent of our readers are in APAC and EMEA.
SDxCentral is one of the fastest growing independent media sites in the tech industry today, and I’m proud to be a part of it.
I’m looking forward to seeing old friends and new in Barcelona in late February. Please feel free to reach out to me for more details regarding our Mobile World Congress coverage.
