Hopefully you have not noticed but we have been busy behind the scenes here at SDxCentral bolstering our editorial staff to bring you the latest news from the software-defined everything (SDx) space. And if you have noticed, I hope it’s been in a good way.
First, long-time technology reporter Matt Kapko has joined our ranks as an editor. Matt has been covering technology, telecom, and media for more than a decade. This included stints as a senior reporter at CIO.com and RCR Wireless News.
For SDxCentral, Matt will focus on the growing 5G and IoT space, including the technology, networking, and software-defined components necessary to support 5G and IoT. Matt will also bring his experience in tying together these technologies to information executives in a manner that is insightful and meaningful to their daily tasks. He will be doing all of this from a secret bunker in Long Beach, California, though you can always reach him at: [email protected]
We are also honored to have promoted Jessica Lyons Hardcastle from senior editor to managing editor. In her new role, Jessica will take on a greater role in shepherding SDxCentral’s news gathering and reporting direction. Jessica will also continue to be our point person on all-things security, next-generation data centers, hyperconverged infrastructure (HCI), storage, and edge computing. You can reach Jessica at: [email protected]
Along those same lines, we have promoted Ali Longwell to a full editor position. Ali has been with SDxCentral for nearly two years and has become our expert on the SD-WAN, monitoring, analytics, telemetry, and big data space. With this promotion, Ali will have more time to focus on those efforts. You can reach Ali at: [email protected]
I have been honored to have worked with those on our staff for several years, both here at SDxCentral and at other companies, and can say without hesitation that they are as strong an editorial team as has ever been assembled.
One final bit of change was my recent promotion from senior editor to editor-in-chief. I have not taken this move lightly as those in charge of SDxCentral’s editorial staff before me have laid a strong foundation of editorial independence and excellence. All I can do is attempt to follow that lead and continue to build on that foundation. In terms of news coverage, I will remain focused on the cloud native, container, and serverless computing space. You can always reach me at: [email protected]
I know that with this team SDxCentral will remain an important source for breaking news and exhaustive coverage of the trade shows and events that help to shape the ecosystem. We will also remain an independent voice focused on providing the in-depth content that links the people, companies, technology, and business outcomes important to our readers. – Dan
