SevOne will extend support of its SD-WAN monitoring service to VMware NSX by VeloCloud. SevOne launched the service — which is based on its Data Platform technology — earlier this year. Its SD-WAN monitoring offers network services over enterprises’ multi-tenant SD-WAN.
Previously, the software only gave insights into Cisco’s SD-WAN service, which is based on Viptela technology. However, the monitoring software was designed in such a way that it can support multiple vendors. VMware NSX by VeloCloud is the second SD-WAN technology that SevOne supports.
In VMware’s most recent earnings call with investors, CEO Pat Gelsinger touted NSX as one of the company’s most vital assets. Nine of the company’s top 10 deals in the last quarter included NSX. Gelsinger said that its strategy of “NSX everywhere” is “really capturing the interest of the industry.”
The updated SevOne SD-WAN monitoring software, with the support for NSX, is set to launch in the fourth quarter of this year.
SevOne SD-WAN monitoring is built to support enterprises as they migrate to SD-WAN from their existing MPLS networks. The software offers a single-pane-of-glass view into the entire WAN infrastructure, automatically monitoring new SD-WAN networks when the infrastructure is set up.
The monitoring software is based on SevOne’s Data Platform, which collects both real-time and historic data to monitor network assets. These assets include enterprise campus and branch office WiFi, software-defined data centers (SDDC), and public clouds.
