Nyansa added support for Cisco, Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE), Meraki, Juniper, and Alcatel Lucent hardware to its Voyance AIOPs platform in an effort to eliminate what it's calling IT tool glut.

The company claims that by using its software, customers can consolidate their network monitoring and telemetry into a single dashboard and eliminate monitoring tools like Cisco Prime, Aruba Airwave, or SolarWinds.

"Customers don't want to have to learn, deploy, get trained on, and pay for a bunch of different performance monitoring systems," said David Callisch, VP of marketing at Nyansa. "They want something that's more modern, that provides more intelligence and analytics to allow them to become more proactive."

Callisch added that the problem is compounded for enterprises that use networking equipment from multiple vendors, each of which would normally require its own performance monitoring tools. And these hardware vendors aren't exactly giving these tools away, Callisch explained, "they license it to that customer on a reoccurring basis."

To remedy this, Nyansa has updated its Voyance AIOPs platform to support a range of devices including routers, switches, and access points from some of the leading hardware vendors on the market. "It's not terribly sexy from an analytics or AIOps point of view, but it's very, very useful," said Callisch.

Nyansa's Voyance AIOPs platform works by pulling in real-time and historical data from devices on the network. This information is then processed using a series of machine learning (ML) and artificial intelligence (AI) algorithms designed specifically to solve network challenges.

Voyance automatically discovers and inventories switches and connected devices while monitoring their current state. The analytics suite also supports real-time alerts for switches, APs, and WLAN controllers that allows the software to identify impacted clients and potential problems.

However, the information Voyance can pull gets even more granular: Customers can access information on TX and RX traffic volumes or operational metrics like fan speed and temperature.

On the wireless front, Voyance can automatically track and send alerts anytime an AP reboots or goes down. The service can also generate AP floor maps that visually display information like user roaming behavior and patterns, client AP counts, channel utilization, and general AP health. This information allows customers to quickly identify and address poorly performing equipment.

“With the consolidation of traditional infrastructure monitoring into Voyance, Nyansa is giving enterprises a more detailed understanding of their entire network from a single source of truth that can be easily leveraged across all of IT,” said Nyansa CEO Abe Ankumah in a statement.

These new features are available starting today at no additional cost to existing customers.
