Network-as-a-service (NaaS) provider Nitel unveiled a new internet and broadband delivery service that streamlines network deployment by only focusing on the steps necessary to the process, Nitel SVP of Customer Success Michael Taylor told SDxCentral.
The new FasTrack NaaS offering is a specialized service delivery process geared toward quick network deployment. The service is particularly suited to accelerate broadband and internet delivery times while improving customer success, Taylor noted.
Recent customer and partner feedback helped Nitel narrow down "a few things that were critical to how we wanted to deliver the customer experience moving forward," Taylor said. While certain areas of internet and broadband network service delivery were appropriately complex, "for more straightforward services like basic internet access and broadband, they were overkill."
To that point, FasTrack boasts greater efficiency and a more consistent approach that Taylor expects will positively impact Nitel's customers. In the fourth quarter of this year, the vendor reported a 37% improvement in service delivery timeframes with FasTrack. "The immediate improvement happened as a result of streamlining the service delivery process – eliminating steps that were unnecessary to the success of these types of projects and enabling us to move more fluidly from one step to the next," he explained.
Taylor also highlighted Nitel's "attention to transparency and communication" during FasTrack deployment processes, which provides "a clear, up-to-the-minute sight line into the status" of customers' orders during the NaaS' 18 to 20 day installation schedule. "Nitel has always had a strong reputation for efficiently managing customer implementations."
He touted that accelerated deployment time window as a major differentiator for Nitel's offering. "The resulting install timeframes have not just been quick, but they have been incredibly consistent as well," he said.
Customers "will appreciate the efficiency and simplicity of the FasTrack model, and it will reflect well on the channel partner," Taylor added. "FasTrack is another example of our efforts to work with our partners and deliver a strong customer experience."
