Last we heard about Manuel Rivelo, he had abruptly resigned as chief executive officer of F5 Networks “for matters regarding personal conduct,” according to F5.
Today, AppViewX announced it has hired Rivelo as CEO.
AppViewX was recently a product of Payoda, which just this month spun it out as a separate legal and business entity from the parent company.
Although Payoda is based in Plano, Texas, AppViewX is headquartered in Seattle, which is where Rivelo will work.
A corporate spokeswoman said AppViewX has more than 300 employees.
The company focuses on orchestration and automation for the enterprise data center. Its platform provides provisioning and self-servicing capabilities across Layer 2 to Layer 7 network components.
Rivelo worked at F5 Networks for four years, but was CEO for only nine months. Before that, he was senior vice president of Cisco’s engineering systems and operations group.
