Cloudflare and CrowdStrike announced an extended partnership to integrate their endpoint and zero-trust services to secure identity, devices, and applications. The collaboration comes on the heels of another project that saw the two vendors join forces with Ping Identity to provide free zero-trust security services to vulnerable industries.
Cloudflare’s zero-trust network access (ZTNA) and secure web gateway (SWG) services will integrate with CrowdStrike’s Falcon zero-trust assessment (ZTA) module to help customers verify users’ device posture before granting access to internal or external applications.
Cloudflare zero-trust platform users can add CrowdStrike as a device posture provider in their dashboard and enforce device-aware access policies to prevent lateral movement from infected devices. These policies ensure that a minimum ZTA score or version has been met before a user is granted access.
Additionally, customers will be able to combine insights from Cloudflare’s global network with telemetry from CrowdStrike’s Falcon platform to better identify and mitigate threats.
Cloudflare joined the CrowdXDR Alliance late last year and partnered with CrowdStrike to share security telemetry and other insights. And its global network covers over 100 countries and blocks an average of 76 billion cyber threats each day, Cloudflare claims.
CrowdStrike is also an incident response partner of Cloudflare, providing security and IT teams support to get their web property and network back online in the event of an incident.
Cloudflare, CrowdStrike, Ping Identity Build Critical Infrastructure Defense ProjectCrowdStrike and Cloudflare recently teamed up with identity sercurity vendor Ping Identity to launch the Critical Infrastructure Defense Project.
The project offers Cloudflare’s zero-trust platform, CrowdStrike’s endpoint and intelligence services, along with Ping Identity’s zero-trust identity services for free to any U.S.-based hospital, energy, or water utility for at least the next four months.
The companys also collaborate with the public sector to help organizations implement step-by-step security measures to defend against cyberattacks.
“This is first and foremost a public service initiative to secure the endpoints and data of some of the most important critical infrastructure entities in the country,” CrowdStrike CEO and co-founder George Kurtz touted.
