AI21 has announced the launch of Maestro, an AI Planning and Orchestration System aimed at enhancing the accuracy of Large Language Models (LLMs) and reasoning models for complex tasks. The system reportedly boosts the performance of models, including GPT-4o and Claude Sonnet 3.5, by up to 50%, promising to deliver more reliable and trustworthy AI solutions for enterprises.
Introduced at the HumanX 2025 conference, Maestro marks a notable development in enterprise AI, offering capabilities that exceed traditional LLMs and Large Reasoning Models (LRMs). The new technology significantly improves instruction-following accuracy, ensuring quality and reliability in AI applications. Maestro also bridges the performance gap between non-reasoning and reasoning models, aligning their accuracy levels.
Despite the enthusiasm for AI integration in businesses, many generative AI initiatives face obstacles. A report from Amazon Web Services indicated that only 6% of organizations have deployed a generative AI application. Traditional AI methods, such as “Prompt and Pray” and hard-coded systems, confront substantial limitations regarding control and adaptability.
Ori Goshen, Co-CEO of AI21, stated, “Mass adoption of AI by enterprises is the key to the next industrial revolution. AI21's Maestro is the first step toward that future – moving beyond the unpredictability of available solutions to deliver AI that is reliable at scale.” Similarly, Avishai Abrahami, CEO of Wix, emphasized that Maestro establishes a necessary balance between the quality and control of AI systems for expansive applications.
Maestro, powered by AI21's AI Planning and Orchestration System (AIPOS), utilizes an integrated framework to analyze actions and validate results, allowing organizations to streamline complex decision-making. This innovation is poised to reshape how enterprises deploy AI, making it more accessible and dependable.
Early access to Maestro's API is available through AI21's website, enabling companies to explore its capabilities in enhancing AI-driven solutions.
