Finther Tecnologica joined forces with SD-WAN vendor 128 Technology today in a bid to enhance its application performance platform.
The partnership will see Finther Tecnologica — a service provider specializing in application performance and visibility challenges — deploy 128 Technology's Session Smart SD-WAN platform.
Finther Tecnologica argues that by using 128 Technology's SD-WAN, its customers will benefit from higher application performance, simplified operations, and lower overall bandwidth consumption.
The Session Smart routing platform functions as a software router capable of running on bare metal or in a virtual machine. And, by combining the control and data planes, the vendor claims the platform can provide rich policy management and enhanced visibility across the IP routing stack.
"The combination of our innovative SD-WAN technology with their proven platform and expertise will result in a powerful yet efficient and cost-effective solution for customers throughout the region," said Kaz Kuroda, 128 Technology's managing director of the Asia-Pacific market, in a statement.
128 Joins the Big Leagues with Juniper AcquisitionThe service provider win comes just over a month after Juniper Networks announced plans to acquire 128 Technology for $450 million.
Under the deal, Juniper plans to integrate 128 Technology's Session Smart routing stack into its Mist networking portfolio, better positioning the vendor to compete against rivals Cisco, Aruba, and Extreme Networks.
“128 Technology represents the next step in the evolution of the user-centric [artificial intelligence]-driven WAN,” said Juniper CEO Rami Rahim, during a press briefing last month.
