Software-defined networking (SDN) has come a long way in just a few years. When it started, it was held together with duct tape and chewing gum. Now, not much later, we’re seeing production grade networks coming from major vendors like Cisco. With the evolving nature of SDN and the ever-changing ways we incorporate it into our businesses, we should ask ourselves if we’re still on the same path we were when the term “SDN” was originally coined.
In this special Citrix DemoFriday, Citrix’s Steve Shah and Chiara Regale will demonstrate Cisco ACI for Layer 2-3 services and Citrix NetScaler for Layer 4-7 services, answering questions about the malleability of the network and its ability to scale-out in the way we used to imagine. They will also address how service integration has progressed, as well as automation, and the underlying assumption of DevOps-expertise to manage infrastructure. SDNCentral will delve into Steve and Chiara’s thoughts and experiences to see what’s happening in real life, and how they see their customers taking SDN forward.
